Where: Mooney’s Bay & Brewer Pool
What is it?:
We are a Triathlon day camp based out of the Terry Fox Centre at Mooney’s Bay and will also occasionally use Brewer Pool for swim training.
Who is it for?:
Children and Youth aged 8 to 15.
It is appropriate for those who are new to the sport and for those looking to improve upon their skills. For those wanting to test out their newly acquired skills in a Triathlon event after our training week, check out this event on September 1st, 2018.
2018 Features:
- Pool time has been added at nearby Brewer Pool for the Tuesday and Thursday of the camp. This will ensure that no matter what the weather conditions, participants will have a MINIMUM of 2 swim times.
- Practices prepared in conjunction with Fitness Dynamics to better cater to both beginners and the more experienced triathlete.
- Focus on Transition work between the disciplines (A place where much time is lost for many Triathletes)
- A Free Subway Lunch on Friday

Who are the coaches?
Veronique Roberts, a certified Physiologist and Level 2 Triathlon Coach, will be coming back for her third year with the camp. Vero is a passionate athlete who loves sharing her experience with young triathletes. Vero is also newly certified as a Yoga Instructor and has a keen eye for what participants can do to avoid injury.
Dan LeRoy is a Level 2 Trained Swim Coach and Owner of the National Capital Aquatics Club. Dan is passionate about connecting with young athletes and aiding them in discovering and meeting their personal objectives. Dan is also a qualifying Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario.
